In support of HKS Architects, Image Resource Group was selected to develop the branding & wayfinding solutions earmarked for the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospitals vertical expansion. An additional 4 new floors, seamlessly join to the existing building. The expansion increased the hospital from 180,000 sq.ft. to almost 400,000 sq.ft., adding 92 new patient rooms. IRG scope of work included the development and expansion of the theming illustrations and graphics to the new floors, keeping the design intent of the Hopsital’s motto “The Power of Play”. Also, IRG design and implemented the branding and wayfinding signage throughout the floors, including the implementation of digital displays to assist patients and visitors with their wayfinding destinations.
